SteamWhistlin' Schuligans Monday, 09 November 2009 06:23 All-Hallows-Even: the scariest, funniest, sexiest, and most importantly, my favoritest holiday of the year. This day holds a special place in my heart not only because it is the best excuse to put on stupendous amounts of makeup, wear scandalous outfits, and simply behave like a Schuligan; but simply because on this single day of the year, anything and everything goes.
GBC Patio Nights Tuesday, 03 November 2009 07:51 A tradition in the making. The GBC started a weekly event this summer that showcased many of the GTA’s hottest venues. While patio/pub/club nights are not a novel idea, the mechanics of these events have changed significantly, and in turn, have attracted an eclectic mix of students, and have ultimately become a smashing success.
Olympia 2009 Tuesday, 03 November 2009 06:01 An event of Schulympic proportions! It was an event for the ages. A weekend long celebration that we will tell our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren by the fireplace on Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving night for years to come; recounting the deep, joyful, and soulful moments we shared at Camp Olympia. Not quite – but it was definitely a weekend to remember.
Sealing Easter Thursday, 02 July 2009 17:17 Thank goodness being in shape was not a necessity! Fresh off of our 24-hour relay, Team Schuligan totally rocked Canada's Party with a Cause! Schulich’s involvement with the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay was an amazing success this year!!  We were able to raise the bar higher for fundraising with over $9,200 in pledges for children, youth and young adults with disabilities - finishing sixth in pledges overall and first in numbers of laps ran with a total of 168 miles/273.28km!

So, what's the 411?

The quintessential, yet absolutely unnecessary about page - hopefully short and sweet.

I am an Information Developer by trade - that is, I absolutely love turning ordinary, underachieving, or downright beige products, companies, or brands into visual poetry. I believe that information should always be a visual experience, and I also believe that poetry in its purest form has no room for wordiness.

Waterloo - Schulich

I have a background in Engineering, and an English degree (English Literature, and Rhetorical & Professional Writing) from the University of Waterloo. I am currently studying part-time at the Schulich School of Business, York University, pursuing an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management. I am also the Director of Part-time Student Affairs on the Graduate Business Council at Schulich, representing and serving the interests of the part-time student population (50% of the student body).

I am very involved with the student body and do everything I can to promote interaction between part-time students, full-time students, alumni, and the school itself.

The GBC Nadal Team invites Tom MacMillan for an intimate and interactive session.

I am fortunate enough to have served MDS Sciex, IBM, Palm, Genesis Microchip, Logitech, GTAA, STMicroelectronics, and other reputable firms. I'm currently employed as a Manager of Documentation and Projects for a technical auditing firm in the cable industry - which means I (attempt to) manage any and all information and processes within the firm.

Companies I've served

I am also the founder of Visual Poetry, a successful Information Development firm in the GTA that specializes in marketing, branding, design, and documentation. Over the years, I have worked with some really talented marketing analysts, user experience architects, information developers, information architects, graphic designers, and illustrators, and am happy to count many of them as partners who work with me on projects we deem interesting and worthwhile.

Visual Poetry

And I count myself extremely lucky to have a large, loving family, an incredibly supportive circle of friends, and live an amazingly rewarding life. I absolutely believe in living in the moment - everything I do I must enjoy and love - otherwise, it's just not worth it.

fortune

And for those who are interested: I thoroughly love red wine (Hillebrand Trius Grand Red to be exact), walks on the beach (especially in the Caribbean), and romantic, candlelit dinners (it will help your cause if you want to enlist my services).

Cheers,

Keith Loo, Visual Poet
